Say Hello To Your New Posture Alignment Therapists:

Meet Roxanne

Now in her 70s, Roxanne is an inspiration for anyone who is ready to change their life.

After retiring at the age of 56 from a full-time career as a counselor specializing in stress management and serving as the Counseling Coordinator at Pima Community College, she was deciding what she wanted to pursue next.

A friend recommended getting certified in Pilates, knowing her love for dance. Roxanne became an instructor and enjoyed Pilates, but found it ineffective for addressing the pain that many of her clients came to her to resolve.

She was also suffering from chronic pain caused by multiple car accidents. Regardless of what she tried — massage, chiropractic, Pilates, physical therapy, nothing seemed to help.

That’s when she was introduced to Egoscue. Finally she found pain relief. She decided to become a certified Egoscue Posture Alignment Specialist.

Then Everything Changed.

Roxanne was diagnosed with Stage 3 Colon Cancer shortly after she began her journey with Egoscue. She suffered from a near fatal car accident while on her way to a chemotherapy appointment and received a large portion of her cancer treatment in a body brace.

Egoscue became an essential component of her recovery from both the accident and from her battle with cancer.

Roxanne is now excited to share the incredible benefits of her practice with others in her community. Roxanne loves spending time with her daughter and friends, strength training and acting in local theater.

Meet Sarah

Sarah’s love for running led her to pursue her Bachelors Degree in Exercise Science and Physical Education.

While completing her undergrad, Sarah worked in research, studying the effects of exercise on physical and mental health. She eventually moved into conducting clinical trials for pharmaceutical and medical device companies.

Most of her time was spent sitting- working at a desk, leaning over case files with patients, and tedious computer work. Her neck and upper back started to hurt.

Even worse… she finds she was on the wrong track. She had moved from a career devoted to understanding the link between a healthy lifestyle and a healthy mind and body to someone helping companies develop drugs and devices to mask the symptoms of serious disease.

After 15 years, opportunity for change appeared.

Sarah and her family moved to New York while her husband completed a fellowship. Her mind and body was suffering from the work she had been doing all those years. During that time, she finally quit her job.

Because they couldn’t afford a second metro pass, she started to walk everywhere.
She moved all the time.

After returning to Tucson, Sarah stumbled into a Posture Fitness class, not having any idea what it was or how it would change her life.

That day was the first day in four years that Sarah was headache free. It felt amazing!

She committed to going to the class regularly and remembered WHY she first studied Exercise Science: She wanted to live a fit life and wanted to help others improve their lives through fitness. With Roxanne’s encouragement, Sarah became a certified Posture Alignment Specialist in the Egoscue Method

Sarah loves helping her community gain unstoppable confidence in their bodies. When she’s not with clients, she loves playing baseball with her son, paddle boarding and planning the next big adventure.
